Harrisburg Ballet Theater

Sylvia Cagle began her training in Oakville, ON, Canada at the Fleming School of Dance.  She continued her training at the Draper Center for Dance Education in Rochester, NY with Timothy Draper.  Ms. Cagle graduated from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA, with a Bachelor of Arts degree where she majored in Dance, with Performance and Teaching/Choreography concentrations under the direction of Tauna Hunter.  She also graduated with a major in Performing Arts Management from the Walker School of Business, and a minor in English.  Ms. Cagle has had the privilege of studying at the Radio City Rockette Summer Intensive.  She has performed with the Rochester City Ballet, the Lake Erie Ballet, the Mercyhurst Dancers, and the Harrisburg Dance Ensemble.  Ms. Cagle has performed in such ballets as Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Paquita, and Wes Chapman and Roger Van Fleteren’s Dracula.  Her choreography has been presented at venues including the Penn State University International Dinner, Edinboro University, the American College Dance Festival, as well as Mercyhurst College campus performances, the Harrisburg Dance Conservatory and the Harrisburg Ballet Theater.  She is currently dancing, teaching, and acting as the Public Relations Liaison for the Harrisburg Ballet Theater.
